LIVERNOIS MOTORSPORTS OIL PUMP WITH BILLET GEARS FOR FORD 4.6L 3V AND 5.4L ENGINES

This product consists of a new Ford OEM oil pump with billet steel gears installed by highly trained Livernois technicians. The oil pumps on the Ford modular engines are mounted on the front of the block and driven directly by the crankshaft. This design is OK, but it does subject the oil pump to all the harmonics that the crankshaft sees. The stock oil pumps use weak powdered metal gears and tend to fracture and break when subject to harmonics. Broken oil pump gears will cause a loss in oil pressure, which can cause serve engine damage. If you have a supercharged Shelby or are rebuilding or repairing a Ford modular engine, we highly recommend you replace the oil pump and gears with this product.

If you already have a new pump, Livernois billet gears can be purchased separately but we do not recommend putting new gears in a worn pump. For the billet steel gears alone, the part number is LPP701128.

This failure is most commonly seen in Supercharged modular engines but can also happen due to detonation from bad fuel or a incorrect tune as well.  If you have a supercharged 5.4 Shelby or are rebuilding or repairing any Ford modular engine we highly recommend you replace the oil pump with this Livernois Motorsports product. If you already have a new Ford oil pump our billet gears can be purchased separately and installed into your new oil pump. We do not recommend putting new gears in a worn pump!!
