2011-2014 BILLET OIL PUMP GEARS WITH LOWER CRANK GEAR 

This product is a billet steel oil pump gears and a billet crank gear for the 2011-2014 Ford 5.0 modular 4 valve engines. Buy them together here and save over $75.00 compared to buying separately. The oil pumps on these Ford 5.0L modular engines are mounted on the front of the block and driven directly by the crankshaft. This design is OK but it does subject the oil pump to all the harmonics that the crankshaft sees. The stock oil pumps and crank gears use weak powdered metal gears in them and they tend to fracture and break when subject to harmonics. Broken oil pump gears will cause a loss in oil pressure and when you lose oil pressure serve engine damage can occur. We have seen several cases of Ford 5.0 modular engines with superchargers added to them that has suffered from oil pump failures. Based on this we strongly recommended these billet oil pump gears be installed. However we do not recommend putting new gears in a worn pump. So if you have a 5.0L 4 valve modular engine and are supercharging, rebuilding or repairing it we highly recommend you replace the entire oil pump assemble.
