Description
This Livernois Motorsports product is to help make repairing noisy cam phasers even easier! This kit contains a pair of brand new replacement cam phaser with Livernois Motorsports cam phaser lockouts installed into them and ready to be installed into your engine. Over time as these engines wear they develop a knocking noise in the front timing chain area of the engine. This is commonly caused by the cam phaser moving back and forth uncontrollably which in addition to all the noise will also send error codes to the computer and send the engine into the ‘limp’ mode. An engine in the ‘limp’ mode will run very poorly with symptoms like low power, poor mileage, rough idle etc. This permanent repair kit will change the phaser to a solid hub design however you will still need to have the vehicles computer reprogrammed if you don’t have access to tuning we highly recommend the Livernois Motorsports complete kit with the preloaded tuner part number LPP823119 this is the most complete kit available with ‘loaded’ phasers, tuner, new cam phasers bolts and the Livernois Motorsports timing chain locker tool. Product Information
If you have bad phasers on you 4.6 or 5.4 3 valve and don’t want to reuse your old phasers and/or don’t want to disassemble the spring loaded phaser and install the lock outs and then reassemble them this is the product for you. Utilizing brand new replacement cam phaser and Livernois own lockout kit we have our highly train technician assemble them for you. From there its a fairly simple bolt on product, but like all lock out product it will requires computer reprogramming or get the complete with tuning kit LPP823119.
